Oracle Corp. has stopped work on a data center in Utah, according to a report in the Salt Lake Tribune.
Redwood City-based Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) had planned a $313 million data center in West Jordan near the Salt Lake City Municipal Airport and broke ground n October 2008.
The Tribune said the change in plan was linked to Oracle's planned acquisition of Santa Clara-based Sun Microsystems Inc. (NASDAQ:JAVA).
To fund that acquisition, Oracle sold $4.5 billion in debt.
