NetEase.com shares are moving ahead by 2% today after this morning's upgrade from Citigroup. The analyst bumped the company up to a Buy rating, citing the company's recent weakness and expected strength upon the launch of popular World of Warcraft (WoW) and Starcraft II games. The company won the license for Chinese hosting of Blizzard Entertainment's WoW franchise back in April, but the relaunch has been delayed. The company's WoW website says, "As of now, we don't have a specific reopening timeframe."
As a whole, the Chinese Online Gaming Stocks Index is ahead by 0.8% today. It is now trailing the S&P 500 by -7.6% over the last month.
