NEWS - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Tuesday it stopped shipping a generic version of Johnson & Johnson's birth control pill Ortho Tri-Cyclen.The world's largest generic drug maker said it agreed to stop shipping the drug pending a preliminary injunction hearing in a patent infringement lawsuit from Johnson & Johnson. The injunction hearing is scheduled to begin on July 15.Teva got Food and Drug Administration approval for its generic, called Tri-Lo Sprintec, on Wednesday. It immediately began shipping it to stores in an "at-risk launch." Johnson & Johnson is suing Teva for patent infringement because the patents supporting its drug have not expired.
