Stocks inched higher Thursday afternoon as banking stocks rallied.
Goldman Sachs ( GS - news - people ) led the pack thanks to an upgrade from Bank of America. BofA raised the target price to $175 a share and believes Goldman will record better-than-expected second-quarter results thanks to higher revenues from trading. The analyst says Goldman trading revenue could surpass the record set in 2007.
