NEWS - Harmonic Inc.today announced that M-net Telekommunikations GmbH, a broadband telecommunications service provider based in Munich, Germany, has deployed Harmonic’s HFC solutions for its new Gigabit passive optical network (GPON). M-net’s new fiber to the building home service offers customers a high quality digital/analog TV service in addition to high speed data connectivity. The full range of Harmonic’s 1550 nm MAXLink optical transmitters and amplifiers were deployed as part of the M-net RF overlay project.“Harmonic’s optical transmission solution offers greater reliability, performance and cost-effectiveness for our GPON architecture,” said Norbert Erl, Head of Central Planning for M-net.
