Sohu's (Nasdaq:SOHU) MMORPG subsidiary Changyou.com (Nasdaq:CYOU) is suing Beijing-based Kylin Game, claiming that Kylin Game's MMORPG Chengjisihan (Genghis Khan) used source code from Changyou's in-house developed 2.5D MMORPG Tian Long Ba Bu (TLBB), Sina reported July 8. Changyou is seeking a halt to operations of Genghis Khan and the distribution of the game's client-end, along with damages of RMB 1 and a formal apology on the official Genghis Khan website as well as the Legal Daily for a period of one month. Kylin Game Founder and CEO Shang Jin said the company has received no notice of legal proceedings, Sina reported in a separate article. According to the report, Shang joined the TLBB development team in 2005 as a key employee. Genghis Khan has recorded 120,000 million peak concurrent users, reports ccidnet.com. Both the game and Kylin's official sites were attacked by hackers on July 8 and July 9, and Kylin reported the attacks to the authorities on July 10, the report said.
