The Forbes Fundamental Opportunity Index finished in negative territory for the second consecutive week, down 3%. The broader market also ended the week with a loss. The S&P 500 fell 2%. However, since we introduced the Fundamental Opportunity Index on Nov. 6, 2008, it has held up better than the broader market. The value index has stayed flat, compared with a 3% loss for the S&P.
