Manhattan Associates, Inc. lowered its second quarter of 2009 outlook and expects adjusted earnings per share (EPS) to a range of $0.08-$0.12 and GAAP EPS to a range of a loss of $0.09 to a loss of $0.05. The second quarter of 2009 GAAP result includes a previously announced restructuring charge of about $4 million. This compares with the Company's previous adjusted EPS outlook range of $0.15-$0.30 and GAAP EPS range of a loss of $0.02 to a profit of $0.13. Adjusted EPS exclude amortization of intangibles and stock-based compensation as well as restructuring charges. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report EPS of $0.22 for the same period. The Company cited ongoing challenges in the global economy as the primary reason for negative outlook.
