Intelligent Living Corp. announced the launch of its “Spirit” series of modular designed buildings with the needs of First Nations communities and emergency relief in mind.

The company also announced that it is in advanced discussions with one of the west coast’s largest First Nations-owned forestry and timber supply companies regarding the joint undertaking of production and market development.
Intelligent Living president and CEO Michael Holloran said the launch of the Spirit series marks another step in the company’s initiative to add value by enhancing its engineering, design, automation, and control capabilities. Throughout the last nine months, Holloran said the company has observed strength in the domestic and offshore markets for the company’s modular home-in-a-box product. In response, the company is fine-tuning its current focus to include home design and build services.
“We have been approached by a major First Nations owned forestry and timber supply company with strong domestic and offshore operations and are close to implementing a working agreement that includes bringing the manufacturing component of the modular construction process in-house, and jointly pursing domestic and offshore markets,” Holloran stated in the press release. “This is a natural progression that reflects and builds on our strong engineering and project management capability, achieves vertical integration in niche domestic and offshore markets, and gives us a substantial competitive advantage.”
