General Electric Company, GE - GE Capital Will Be Giving $150 Million to Smithfield Foods

GE Capital Corporate Finance, the finance arm of General Electric Co., recently announced that it provide $150 million as part of a $1 billion revolving credit facility for hog producer Smithfield Foods Inc.

"GE's commitment was significant in that it accounted for the largest portion of the overall credit facility, helping provide Smithfield with the liquidity it needed on a going forward basis," said Carey Dubois, vice president of finance for Smithfield.
