ALLETE, Inc. reported second quarter 2009 earnings of 29 cents per share, on net income of $9.4 million and total operating revenue of $164.7 million. Quarterly results included a $1.5 million, or 5 cent per share, after-tax charge related to interim rates collected in 2008.
