Jensen, the big man from Nvidia said in a statement about Globalfoundries, that the company likes to work with companies that are customer centric. Since TSMC has 200 customers its kind of hard to be in center of attention, while this thing might be possible with some alternative fab companies, such as Globalfoundies.
Jensen also hinted that there might be 32nm process that should appear in-between the current 40nm and future 28nm process.
The future of GPUs is quite clear, at least in one way. You can always expect more transistors and a smaller manufacturing process.
