A continued slump in the travel industry helped push revenue for DiamondRock Hospitality Co. down 20 percent in the second quarter.
The Bethesda-based company Tuesday said second quarter revenue was $143.6 million compared to $181 million in the second quarter of 2008.
DiamondRock posted a net income of $2.5 million (or $0.02 per diluted share) compared to net income of $21.8 million (or $0.23 per diluted share) for the comparable period in 2008.
The company’s RevPar (a hotel industry measure meaning revenue per available room) was $109.85, down 22.2 percent from the second quarter of 2008.
