American's Can Save $37.5 Million A Day Buying Cheaper Gas In Their Cities And Towns

The average price of gas fluctuates over .10 per gallon in most of the U.S. Saving .10 a gallon on gas would save American's $37.5 million a day according to GasPriceWatch.com

American consumers can save over $37,500,000 a day simply by shopping for lower priced gas in their own communities.  According to GasPriceWatch.com, a leading aggregator of local gas prices around the nation, American's average consumption is about 376 million gallons of gas a day. By saving .10 a gallon on gas consumers would thereby  save about $37.5 million a day in cash.

That demonstrates the economic power of gas prices on the U.S. economy, and on U.S. households.  GasPriceWatch.com reports gas prices at over 100,000 gas stations around the country, serving over 15,000 different towns and cities in the U.S. The average high gas price and low gas price in each community reporting is usually in excess of .10 a gallon.  Thus, simply by shopping for the cheapest gas prices locally consumers should be able to save .10 (or more) a gallon on gas, and thereby save $37.5 million or more per day on gas price purchases.  The money saved on gasoline can then be used to grow the economy, help with family cash flow, or allow consumers to accrue cash savings.
