Breakwater Investment Management, LLC ("Breakwater") a private investment firm headquartered in Los Angeles, announced the appointment of Richard A. Rowella to the position of Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Business Development. Breakwater is the General Partner of Breakwater Structured Growth Opportunities Fund, LP (the Fund), a private investment partnership that provides direct investment to leading lower middle market businesses that demonstrate attractive opportunities for growth.
Prior to joining Breakwater, Rowella was Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development at RD Legal Capital, an alternative asset manager specializing in receivables and collateralized lending to the US legal community. Rowella also served as a Director at a $1 billion alternative investment firm, where he was responsible for underwriting in excess of $100 million in asset-based lending investments.

Rowella started his career in commercial finance with GE Capital in 1982. Since then, he has been responsible for the origination and underwriting of large ticket equipment leasing transactions, franchise finance loans, asset-based financing, and loans to specialty lenders. Rowella is a graduate of DePauw University, Indiana.
