Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) or Devic’s syndrome is an autoimmune inflammatory disorder of the central nervous system that resembles multiple sclerosis (MS), and results in symptoms that include a loss of vision and motor control.
The scientists used Arrayit’s patented and proprietary NanoPrint™ Enterprise Level Microarrayer instrument to identify a biomarker that will facilitate the diagnosis of patients with Devic’s syndrome and improve patient treatment and prognosis.
