Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) is up 1.25% to close at $15.38 on 21.81 million shares after Dow Jones reported that Bank of America Corporation sent the Treasury Department $45 billion to repay the government's infusion of cash last year under the Troubled Asset Relief Program. The repayment came after the Company completed a securities offering that raised gross proceeds of about $19.29 billion. That money and other corporate funds were used to repurchase all the preferred stock issued to the Treasury. Bank of America also paid the government $190 million in accrued dividends.

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S) declines 0.77% to $3.87 on 5.86 million shares after the company on 9, December, 2009 was upgraded from Hold to Buy by Citigroup. Sprint Nextel Corporation is a holding company that offers a range of wireless and wire line communications products and services for individual consumers, businesses and government customers. The Company conducts its operations through two segments: Wireless and Wireline.

CITIGROUP INC(NYSE:C) decreases 3.09% to $3.45 on 199.86 million shares after Reuters reported that Abu Dhabi Investment Authority filed an arbitration claim against Citigroup Inc., accusing the Company of misrepresentation over a $7.5 billion investment by the sovereign wealth fund. The sovereign wealth fund, bought securities from the U.S. bank in 2007. In the original deal, the Citigroup bonds must be converted into common stock at a price between $31.83 and $37.24 a share between March 2010 and September 2011.
