Jarden Corporation (NYSE:JAH) made a new high at $30.27 and now up 7.20% and trades at $30.22. The company announced that it has made a binding offer to acquire the Mapa Spontex Baby Care and Home Care businesses of TOTAL SA . Under the terms of the offer, Jarden will pay approximately $500 million in cash, less any indebtedness assumed by Jarden. The transaction is expected to close early in the second quarter of 2010.

Wipro Limited (ADR) (NYSE:WIT) made a new high at $22.17 and now up 2.59% and trades at $22.02. Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Ltd., announced that it has entered into a partnership for an Out-tasking of Testing Services initiative with Telefonica O2 Germany, a European telecommunications company. The scope of this partnership will involve Wipro Germany supporting the testing operations of O2, and transforming the same through process improvement. Wipro will provide complete suite of solutions including Test Analysis, Management and Execution, Deployment and Integration and Implementation Management services for the testing IT stack of O2.
