Stocks At Year High: GCI, NYT, Ford (NYSE:F)

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is among the most active stock in today’s trading session and jumped 1.51% to $10.05 after hitting a new 52-week high of $10.11. today, Ford Motor Co. said that all substantive commercial terms relating to the sale of its Volvo unit to Zhejiang Geely Holding Group have been settled and that it expects to finalize the agreement by the end of the Q1 of 2010.

Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE:GCI) shares hit a new 52-week high of $15.49 and now off its day’s high to $15.11, up 4.86%. Today, Wells Fargo upgraded Gannett to "outperform" from "underperform."So far this year, the stock has jumped over 88%.

The New York Times Company (NYSE:NYT) also moved up over 5.40% to $11.63 and hit a new 52-week high of $11.99 after analysts at Wells Fargo Securities upgraded the stock to "market perform" from "underperform." noting that “the newspaper ad market is improving more quickly than we previously anticipated, particularly in December. Given current trends, we now expect approx. high single digit decline in overall newspaper advertising in 2010.”
