OpenTable, Inc. OPEN Mobile Apps On The Rise For Diners Nationwide
In a press release OpenTable, Inc. (OPEN) announced reaching the benchmark of more than two million diners had been seated using their apps. The company is leader in providing free online reservations for restaurants. These figures are based on a $50 average check per diner and estimates are that more than $100 million in gross revenues have been received by participating restaurants.
"We are extremely encouraged by the rapid consumer adoption of OpenTable's mobile suite of products, which in turn is generating meaningful revenue for OpenTable's restaurant partners," said Jeff Jordan, CEO of OpenTable. "Diners on-the-go are able to view the real-time availability of restaurants in their vicinity and immediately book a free, confirmed reservation, all without making a single phone call."
The company provides reservations at more than 12,000 different restaurants worldwide via the web or Smartphone.
