Northwest Airlines canceled 200 flights yesterday due to a dispute between the airline and pilots. The airlines claims that this is the pilots' fault, while the pilots claim that Northwest has them working too many hours. Altogether, Northwest canceled 514 flights over the weekend and close to 2,000 in the month of June.
Apparently, pilots claim that Northwest made them work more than 100 hours per month, which is against federal law. Pilots are only allowed to fly 1,000 hours per year.
