Chile Earthquake injures 20, none confirmed dead

A major earthquake rocked northern Chile on Wednesday around 12:40 pm. The quake measured a magnitude of 7.7 and caused buildings to sway in Santiago, power lines to topple and roads to close. The tremor was felt in neighboring Peru and Bolivia.

Several houses and building were damaged and many others were untouched. A tsunami warning was issued and later canceled as the quake only generated 2 foot waves. Most areas were left without power and only 20 people have been reported injured and so far there are no confirmed deaths.
