Larry Wachtel, the man responsible for handing out stock market advice to millions of television viewers and radio listeners for more than 30 years, died on Sunday at the age of 77.
Wachtel offered commentary on the stock market through his daily talk show on CBS Radio’s 1010 WINS from 1972 to 2005. As part of his show Wachtel would detail trends affecting the markets and sprinkle in advice about daily life.
The iconic analyst made several appearances on CBS Evening News in addition to his daily radio show.
Wachtel had been suffering from a heart ailment.
