Flights have been cancelled, ports have been closed and railway stations have limited runs as severe weather has hit the UK in what has led to warnings across England, Wales, northern Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Along with strong winds and heavy rains the coasts have been battered by high seas and crashing waves, leading several transportation companies to cancel planned trips to port.
Heathrow Airport has canceled several dozen flights as has Gatwick as winds of up to 80 mph were expected, making landing and take-off dangerous.
While England may be pounded by rain, Scotland is expected to be hit with plenty of snow as the front makes its way through.
