Universal Detection Technologies (OTCBB:UDTT)

Pennycents Reports on Anthrax Detection

Pennycents Magazine, the market’s most valuable research tool covering micro-cap, penny stocks and otcbb equities, issued the following daily column by Dennis Fitter.

The 2001 US Postal Service anthrax attacks were a huge scare we weren’t ready for in the new and unfamiliar territory of the post 9:11 era. Bio-terrorism suddenly became a very real concern to the security of all Americans. Combating these and other threats suddenly became a high priority government issue. For most Americans, the further we get from the memory, the sense of urgency declines, but for various government agencies now working out of the limelight, the search for solutions and lines of defense is a serious, ongoing endeavor.

Primed and ready, Los Angeles based Universal Detection Technologies (OTCBB:
UDTT) is just waiting for the breakthrough they hope will catapult the company into national prominence.

Their keystone product is the BSM2000 Anthrax Detector unit, a well priced - $45,000.- anthrax spore detection device the size of a home air conditioning unit, capable of non-stop monitoring of the air in a building the size of a small hotel. Universal Detection did not invent the technology deployed in the equipment they build. That has the pedigree of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab behind it. Universal is NASA’s sole partner in bringing the technology to market.

UDTT is penny stock in the purest sense, trading stable between .0007 and .001 for the past few months. Of late, the company has had some very positive developments, including product demonstrations to the US Army, Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, an invitation to present to the US House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security, and agreement with a major Chinese distributor having inroads to their applicable government agencies.

I first noticed this company a few years back, when their stock came on to the bulletin board in a flurry. Revenue has been very sluggish and operating expenses high, but they have persevered in a slow to move, tough to crack business arena. The product is good, and market potential tremendous. I cannot help feel UDTT is getting very close.
