A partnership between Simtrol and Strike was recently formed to offer jails and prisons a superior video visitation application powered by Simtrol’s flagship DMS.
In the second quarter of this year, the first installation of Visitor will be completed at a large Florida county jail. The implementation will provide video call monitoring, digital video recording, and video call interjection, which will increase the efficiency of inmate visitations at over 300 visitor and inmate video stations.
Pat Sellati, General Manager of Strike Industries, stated, “Simtrol’s ability to bring this robust product to market in such a short timeframe is a clear validation of the advantages of their software-based approach to device management. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Simtrol with many additional system deployments as we work together to advance the state-of-the-art for video visitation and related telejustice applications.”
“The government-telejustice space is just one of many markets – including security and surveillance, healthcare, and education – where controllable devices are increasingly added on to IT networks. We believe that a broad range of users can benefit from our powerful Device Management Software and are very pleased to deploy the first system with Strike so soon after releasing our Visitor product,” commented Bill Joyce, Simtrol’s Executive Vice President of Operations.
