Missouri Storms Leave Kansas City Heavily Damaged

A strong storm front packing hurricane-force winds ripped through Missouri overnight and leveled homes and buildings while falling several trees and power lines.

The northern and eastern suburbs of Kansas City were hit hardest as homes sustained serious damage and an estimated 33,000 residents have been left without power.

There were no reports of fatalities but several injuries have been reported.
