Mississippi Tornado Blamed for Damage to Shopping Mall in Tupelo
The severe storms that have been passing through Mississippi produced a tornado in Tupelo that damaged a shopping mall and knocked out power to many residents.
Several cars parked at the Barnes Crossing Shopping Mall sustained damage as the twisted touched down. The Mississippi Department of Transportation also sustained serious damage but there have been no reports of injuries.
A continued tornado watch has continued for northern Mississippi and into Alabama.
There have been reports of a tornado hitting in Oklahoma as well.
