A possible tornado in Omaha, Nebraska is being investigated by the National Weather Service. Severe damage to homes in the area is being reported. Nearly 10,000 residents lost power during the storm.
Neil Lewis, who lives in southwest Omaha with his wife, said shingles were ripped off of his roof and most of their fence was gone. Lewis said a tree fell on his neighbor’s home, destroying most of the house.
The National Weather Service is still trying to confirm that a tornado touched down in the area. No deaths or injuries have been reported.
