Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) $28.02. Today announced that several of its routing, switching and circuit-to-packet solutions have been tested and certified by the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) for interoperability with Defense Department networks and have been added to the Unified Capabilities Approved Product List.

Newly certified by JITC are Juniper Networks EX3200 and EX4200 Ethernet Switches; MX240, MX480 and MX960 Universal Edge Routers; and the CTP 1000 and 2000 Series circuit-to-packet solutions that enable Voice and Video over IP (VoIP) advances in voice and data networks. The EX Series and MX Series products are now certified as Assured Services Local Area Networks (ASLAN) devices; the MX Series is the industry's first edge router to pass the new DISA MPLS ASLAN requirements.

These new certifications follow other recently announced JITC certifications of Juniper Networks SA Series SSL VPN solutions for interoperability with Defense Department Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) requirements.

Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) $28.02. Today announced it had July sales of $5.58 billion, an increase of 6.2 percent from $5.26 billion for the same month in 2009. Duane Reade stores contributed 2.9 percentage points to the total sales increase for the month.

Sales in comparable stores (those open at least a year) increased 0.4 percent. The effect of calendar day shifts negatively impacted total comparable sales by 1.0 percentage point. Duane Reade stores are not included in any comparable store results.

What They Do: Walgreen Co., together with its subsidiaries, operates a chain of drugstores in the United States.

Almost Family (Nasdaq: AFAM) $26.70. Today announced its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2010. Almost Family reported second quarter 2010 net service revenues of $85.6 million, a 15% increase from $74.6 million in the second quarter of 2009.

Net income for the second quarter of 2010 was $8.3 million, or $0.89 per diluted share, compared to $6.0 million, or $0.71 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2009.  The weighted average shares outstanding for purposes of calculating diluted earnings per share increased 12% between periods.
