UN comes to Pakistan flood victims' aid
The UN is appealing for money to help aid Pakistani flood victims
Over 1,600 people have died in Pakistan due to the monsoon weather. Floods have wiped out parts of entire regions.
UN humanitarian chief John Holmes made an announcement in New York, appealing for the aid to cover the next 90 days.
Because the flood is a threat to several hundreds of peoples' food security, the UN has appealed for $459 million to help victims. The severe weathers have affected over 14 million people.
