Medefile International, Inc. (OTCBB: MDFI) is one of our highlighted companies this month. The company has developed a proprietary system for gathering and digitizing medical records so that individuals can have access to a comprehensive set of their medical records. MedeFile's primary product is the MedeFile system, a highly secure system for gathering and maintaining medical records. The MedeFile system is designed to gather all of its members' actual medical records and create a single resource that is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In our client’s news today,
MedeFile International, Inc. (MDFI.OB) announced that it has entered into an agreement with API Marketing, Sales & Advertising Company to market MedeFile memberships to more than 100,000 retail outlets in the U.S. and Canada.
API was founded by CEO and President Alex Papas more than 20 years ago. Based in South Florida, API employs more than 500 independent sales representatives in the continental U.S., Hawaii, and Canada. API specializes in marketing consumer products and services in convenience stores, gas stations, bodegas, health food stores and independent pharmacies. The agreement with MedeFile provides API with exclusive rights to market their memberships throughout its sales network.
Papas stated, “Once we understood what the MedeFile solution was, we came to the fast conclusion that there is simply no one who should be without it. Aside from providing peace of mind, convenience and security, this cost effective and tech-savvy electronic medical record management solution is also environmentally friendly, helping to eliminate, to large degree, the need for producing hard copies of health records. Based on my own personal, harrowing medical experiences involving unnecessary and costly redundant testing, I believe that MedeFile is indeed capable of having a very positive — if not profound — impact on the U.S. healthcare system. Consequently, API is very excited about having the opportunity to partner with MedeFile to bring this important new technology to the attention of U.S. consumers everywhere.”
MedeFile and API will work together to create a high-impact point-of-sale, MedeFile-branded ‘rack card’ and ‘stickers’. API will negotiate with its sales outlets to place the ‘rack card’ at or near check-out counters. The ‘stickers’ will primarily be placed in storefront glass windows, main entry doors, and gas pumps.
Founder and CEO of MedeFile, Milton Hauser said, “We are very pleased that API appreciates our vision for establishing the MedeFile solution as the de facto standard for how individuals manage their personal medical records.” Hauser continued, “It is our opinion that the key to long term success for our Company is through education of the mass consumer market on the value and potentially life saving benefits of our patient-centric approach to automating the collection, archiving and management of a person’s medical history. With API’s assistance, we look forward to introducing MedeFile to millions of consumers in the coming year.”
