CentraCan, Inc. (CTCJ.OB) Subsidiary Partners with Choice Hotels to Offer Green Battery Solution

QualityStocks would like to highlight CentraCan, Inc. (OTCBB: CTCJ), a holding company based in Orlando, Florida, which has subsidiaries or joint venture interests providing eco-conscious products for consumer and commercial use, including alkaline batteries made from recycled materials which are sold with a free recycling initiative and advanced commercial lighting products for government and commercial use. Its subsidiary, PerfPower Corporation, is a technology company that offers sustainable solutions to its commercial and retail customers with a new generation of sustainable electronic products.

In the company’s news yesterday,

CentraCan announced that PerfPower™ Go-Green™ alkaline batteries, with free recycling, would be prominently featured and offered by Choice Hotels franchised properties, including Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, and Clarion, to name but a few.

As a leader among eco-minded hotels, Choice Hotels International, Inc. – which franchises over 6k hotels in 35 countries, with another 580 or so under construction – is making this move toward a sustainable future by offering eco-conscious travelers a way to help reduce carbon emissions.

Offered in the standard array of AA, AAA, C, D and 9-volt alkaline batteries, the PerfPower Go-Green batteries are manufactured with recycled materials and do not contain harmful heavy metals like lead, mercury or cadmium.

By partnering with the US Postal Service to utilize their Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes program, in conjunction with pre-paid labels supplied by the Company with each set of batteries, the Company has achieved a superior, easy-to-use solution which allows consumers to dramatically impact their footprint.

Users can go to www.iRecycled.com to register, using the code on the product. In addition, the Company has even gone so far as to sponsor a program which will help to fund non-profit autism research, through Autism Speaks™, via a portion of the proceeds from each pack sold.

VP of Procurement Services at Choice Hotels, Rick Summa, was pleased to be able to offer guests a greener alternative to throwing away batteries, a product typically consumed by all travelers for cameras and other portable electronics.

Chairman and CEO of CTCJ/PerfPower, Boris Rubizhevsky, commented on the selection by Choice Hotels as the first hotel to offer this ecologically superior alternative, conveying his esteem for Choice’s continued commitment to sustainable initiatives.

No doubt this is a well-positioned offering which harnesses demand for sustainable solutions while also helping to address autism, and it should generate both excellent downstream PR and revenues for the Company.
