Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:REGN) fell 4.40% to $27.90 with over 1.45 million shares after the company said that it intends to offer 4.5 shares of common stock next week, which would dilute the existing shareholder to the extent of 5.5%.

The company, which has about 82.1 million shares outstanding, didn't specify why it was raising the capital, other than to say proceeds would be used for general corporate purposes.
