First-Hour NYSE Stocks Alert! (Pfizer Inc., BAC, General Electric, MRK)

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) slid 0.11% to $17.71 after the company said this week that it would acquire King Pharmaceuticals Inc. for $3.6 billion cash.

Over the past 52-week, the stock had traded within the range of $14-$20.36 and is down more than 4% year-to-date.

Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC) dropped 3.39% to $12.84. Bank of America will be release its quarterly results next week .The analysts on average expecting a profit of $0.16 per share on revenue of $27.15 billion.

Over the past three months, the stock went down more than 17% and is down more than 30% in its last one year of trading sessions.

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) went down 0.29% to $17.23. The company is expected to report a 17% increase in profit when the conglomerate releases its third-quarter earnings on Friday.

Wall Street is forecasting a GE third-quarter profit of 27 cents a share or $2.92 billion for the three months ended Sept. 30, according to a survey of analysts by FactSet Research.

The 52-week range of the stock is $13.75-$19.70.

Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) lost 0.05% to $37.14. The stock opened at $37.27 and is trading within the range of $36.94-$37.38. The market capitalization of the company is $114.15 billion.

Merck & Co., Inc. is a global health care company that delivers health solutions through its medicines, vaccines, biologic therapies, and consumer and animal products, which it markets directly and through its joint ventures.
