XO Communications announced that it has earned the 2008 Telephony Innovation Award for XO Anywhere, which allows employees to turn any phone into one universal device connected with a bundle of XO-generated services.
XO Anywhere’s now award-winning features include:
• Simultaneous Ring: Makes up to 10 different devices ring at the same time, connecting the call to the first device that answers.
• Remote Office: Enables employees to instantly set up a remote office, make or receive calls from any device, display their office phone number on the caller ID, and charge all calls to the office’s XO service.
• Click to Dial: Provides seamless integration with Microsoft Outlook and web browsers.
• Web-Based Tool Bar: Allows users to personally manage all features online at any time.
The Telephony Magazine panel based the award on boosting employee performance and productivity.
“I like that XO is recognizing that workers don’t just sit in an office,” said Vince Vittore, program manager with the Yankee Group and a member of the Telephony Innovation Award judging panel. “The best part of this service is that it puts the power in the user’s hands.”
Telephony’s Innovation Awards are in their second year of recognizing creative service creation and deployment from telecom service providers. The awards are open to all service providers, including telecom and cable companies, wireless service providers, managed and hosted service providers, ISPs and applications service providers.
