Washington to Host Financial Crisis Summit on Nov. 15

World leaders from the G-20 will be in Washington on November 15 to attend the first in what is to be a series of financial summits designed to resolve the current global crisis in the world economy.

On the agenda for the first summit is discussions to understand what led to the collapse and review the progress of the plans instituted to correct the situation. The leaders are also expected to discuss measures that could be put in place to ensure such a collapse does not occur again.

Plans for the financial summits were announced last week when U.S. President George Bush met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso at Camp David.
