Ascent Solar Technologies (Nasdaq: ASTI) Closed at $4.70. Today  announced the signing of a definitive Cooperation Agreement with TurtleEnergy LLC of Linden, New Jersey. The agreement focuses on the development of new building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products intended for the U.S. marketplace.

The parties have agreed to collaborate in the development of BIPV roofing materials. Ascent Solar initially intends to supply TurtleEnergy with product from its existing 1.5 MW production line during 2009 for TurtleEnergy to develop, test and certify integrated BIPV products. Ascent Solar intends to increase deliveries of solar modules to TurtleEnergy after Ascent Solars planned expansion of production capacity. Subsequent demonstration scale projects are envisioned to validate the system level performance and to develop market demand for the BIPV roofing products.

What They Do: Ascent Solar Technologies is a developer of thin-film photovoltaic modules with substrate materials that can be more flexible and affordable than most traditional solar panels. Ascent Solar modules can be directly integrated into standard building materials, space applications, consumer electronics for portable power or configured as stand alone modules for large scale terrestrial deployment.

How They Trade: ASTI has a 52 week high of $28.35 and a 52 week low of $3.57. 

Lake Victoria Mining Company (OTCBB: LVCA) Closed at $1.17. Recently announced that Michele Ashby is joining the Company's Board of Directors. 

Ms. Ashby is the founder, owner and Chief Executive Officer of MINE, LLC, a Colorado company organized to promote selected natural resource companies to the investment community through private conferences. She has occupied that position since July 2005. In 1988 she founded the Denver Gold Group Inc., and until 2005, she was the Chief Executive Officer of that organization, which is dedicated and operated as a trade association for the mining industry. In that capacity, she developed and marketed annual conferences that attracted global participants in the gold industry and the investment community. Since 2005, she has served as a Board Member for U.S. Gold Corporation, and she is the Chair of that company's Compensation Committee and a member of both the Nominating and the Governance Committees. In 1998 she founded, and is the President of Dani's Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for Ewing's Sarcoma, a cancer which strikes young adults. Michele holds a B.Sc. in finance and between 1987 and 1995, she was a stockbroker and mining analyst with a regional firm located in Denver, Colorado.

What They Do: Lake Victoria Mining Company, Inc. is working to create another gold mine in the world famous Lake Victoria Greenstone Belt, Tanzania, East Africa. Tanzania produced 1.75 million troy ounces of gold during 2007 and is the 3rd largest gold producer in Africa behind South Africa and Ghana. Lake Victoria Mining Company, Inc. currently holds an eighty percent ownership interest in the Kalemela Gold Project along with Geo Can Resources Company Limited (Tanzania) a subsidiary of Kilimanjaro Mining Company, Inc. of Nevada.

How They Trade: LVCA has a 52 week high of $1.22 and a 52 week low of $0.02. 

ExpressJet (NYSE: XJT) Closed at $1.85. Today announced today that it received final approval from all of the national offices for its labor unions to execute the new agreements recently ratified by their respective members. Each of these agreements will be retroactive to November 1 and allow ExpressJet to begin realizing $20 million annually in cost savings from its four unions representing the pilots and instructors, mechanics, flight attendants and dispatchers.


What They Do: ExpressJet Holdings operates several divisions designed to leverage the management experience, efficiencies and economies of scale present in its subsidiaries, including ExpressJet Airlines, Inc. and ExpressJet Services, LLC. ExpressJet Airlines serves 125 destinations in North America and the Caribbean with approximately 1,000 departures per day.

How They Trade: XJT has a 52 week high of $3.54 and a 52 week low of $0.16.

Herley Industries. (Nasdaq: HRLY) Closed at $11.98. Today announced that it has sold its Innovative Concepts subsidiary located in McLean, Virginia to Elbit Systems of America, LLC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT), of Haifa, Israel, in a $15 million all cash transaction.

What They Do: Herley Industries, Inc. is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of microwave technology solutions for the defense, aerospace and medical industries worldwide. Based in Lancaster, PA, Herley has eight manufacturing locations and approximately 1000 employees.

How They Trade: HRLY has a 52 week high of $20.35 and a 52 week low of $9.46.
