Li-ion Motors Corp. (LMCO.OB) Shatters Limited Expectations of Electric Vehicles with its Inizio Supercar at Recent US Auto Shows
QualityStocks would like to highlight LI-ION MOTORS CORP. (OTCBB: LMCO), manufacturer of emission-free, all electric high speed, long range vehicles using the latest lithium-ion battery technology. The company is the Wave II winner of the 2010 Progressive Automotive X-Prize, and is the manufacturer of the world's first all-American all-electric supercar, the INIZIO.
In the company’s news yesterday,
Li-ion Motors reported that the showing of its all-electric Inizio supercar annihilated long held perceptions within the industry of what is possible in lithium-ion powered electric vehicles at the recent Detroit and Washington, DC auto shows.
Video of the Inizio augmented the physical sight of it and stunned the massive audiences at the Detroit and Washington shows, where millions of consumers, thousands of media professionals and key government personnel were on hand to witness the future of electric vehicle performance redefined, with so many confused enough that they kept asking if the car was really electric or not.
The Li-ion Motors Inizio is a beautiful piece of engineering in the spirit of the masters, one look is all it takes and bold colors of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Koenigsegg and Saleen leap forth from the frame. The Inizio is a silent, pure (zero emission/zero exhaust) and powerful machine capable of laying down 170 mph speeds and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds.
Li-ion Motors got its start back in April of 2000 in the lithium-rich state of Nevada and has since rapidly developed the core technology platform that led to a recent win of the $2.5M, Progressive Insurance Automotive X Prize (Alternative Side By Side class) for its WAVE II.
The WAVE II uses a revolutionary platform based on lithium-ion batteries governed by a proprietary BMS (battery management system) certified on Argonne National Laboratory’s dynamometer as a jaw-dropping 202.5 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent – average of 187 MPGe in competitive track tests, 191 MPGe on a highway run).
Li-ion Motors has successfully shifted the paradigm with this machine and the Company is geared up to proceed with its strategy for putting the WAVE II and Inizio into production for consumer sales through 2011, opening up reservation procedures for both vehicles at the Company’s website.
CEO of LMCO, Stacey Fling, cited the vastly improved environmental impact profile of the vehicles and stood firm on the Company’s commitment to making the entire world realize that driving an alternative fuel vehicle doesn’t mean giving up what we all love best about automobiles, like elegant design, performance and quick acceleration.
This undeniable victory for electric vehicles follows fast on the heels of language in Obama’s recent State of the Union address, where the goal of putting a million electric vehicles on America’s roads by 2015 was clearly outlined.
