Midas Medici Group Holdings Inc. (MMED.OB) Completes Consonsus Technologies Inc. Merger

QualityStocks would like to highlight Midas Medici Group Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: MMED), a green IT company that supplies mid-sized and select enterprises and institutions with leading-edge IT solutions in the fields of virtualization, cloud computing, and data management, as well as working with utilities and other institutions to transform the electric grid through digital technologies.

In the company’s news Friday,

Midas Medici Group Holdings announced completion of its acquisition of North Carolina based Consonus Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of energy efficient data center solutions. As it becomes an integral part of Midas, the Consonus brand will continue to work with customers to optimize their IT and data center investments, within the three data center environments – customer owned, co-location, and cloud-based, solutions built on foundation of key technology partners that include HP, NetApp, Symantec, Oracle, VMware, and Hitachi.

Consonus will remain committed to its core business of offering data center infrastructure solutions and managed services, such as data protection, disaster recovery, virtualization, and cloud computing. These services will be complemented by green hosting and the delivery of energy efficient IT infrastructure and consulting services utilizing the expertise of Midas’ UtiliPoint brand, through the UtiliPoint® International subsidiary of Midas. The merger brings together the energy service offerings of the UtiliPoint brand with the core virtualization and cloud computing offerings of the Consonus brand. The combined company will be a strong green IT presence in the fields of virtualization, cloud computing, and data management, in addition to Smart Grid solutions.

Midas co-founder and CEO, Nana Baffour, also CEO of UtiliPoint, commented on the merger, “The successful completion of the Consonus acquisition is a milestone event. The merger transforms Midas into an organization with a focus on both green IT and Smart Grid solutions to over 750 customers throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, as well as Asia, South America and Africa. Utilizing both our Consonus and UtiliPoint brands, Midas will be able to expand its service and product offerings and capitalize on the utility industry as well as accelerate our virtualization and cloud computing offerings.”
