Kandi Technologies (Nasdaq: KNDI) $2.68, Up $0.70. Today announced it has received authorization from its board of directors for a share repurchase program under which the Company may acquire up to $5 million of Kandi's outstanding common shares from time to time over the next 18 months.

The board of directors for China's leading supplier of off-road vehicles and developer of pure electric vehicles (EV) approved the buyback program at its most recent meeting. Kandi Technologies said the buyback authorization allows the Company to purchase common stock in open-market transactions in compliance with applicable federal securities regulations, including Rule 10b-18, over the next 18 months. Kandi Technologies reported 27,433,934 shares of voting common stock outstanding as of March 25, 2011. Any repurchases of Kandi shares will be made on the open market at prevailing market prices or in block trades and subject to market restrictions and market conditions relating to volume, price and timing. Kandi Technologies plans to fund repurchases from its available cash balance.

What They Do: Kandi Technologies is a manufacturer and exporter of a variety of vehicles in China, making it a world leader in the production of popular off-road vehicles (ORVs).

Clean Diesel Technologies (nasdaq: CDTI) $7.57, Up $1.02. Today announced that it has been chosen as a catalyst supplier to Fisker Automotive ("Fisker"), an American manufacturer of the first premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicles with extended range. Clean Diesel is supplying catalysts utilizing its patented mixed phase catalyst (MPC) technology for the Karma, Fisker's new luxury sedan, which starts shipping to both European and U.S. retailers this month.

With a price range between $95,800 and $108,000, the Karma combines world-class style and performance with some of the lowest emissions among electric vehicles with extended range. According to Fisker, this is the world's first true Electric Vehicle with extended range ("EVer"). Clean Diesel commenced catalyst shipments to Fisker in the first quarter ended March 31, 2011.

What They Do: Clean Diesel is a vertically integrated global manufacturer and distributor of emissions control systems and products, focused on the heavy duty diesel and light duty vehicle markets.

New Energy Systems Group (Amex: NEWN) $2.71, Up $0.41. Today introduced three new remote power Anytone models for tablets and mobile devices. What They Do: New Energy Systems Group is a vertically integrated original design manufacturer and distributor of lithium ion batteries and backup power systems for leading manufacturers of mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, MP3s and a variety of other portable electronics.
