Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan is the world’s largest fertilizer producer, engaged in the production and sale of fertilizers, and related industrial and feed products in North America. … Against the backdrop of rising North American potash inventories, Potash recently announced it was cutting potash production by another 1.5 million tonnes to 3.5 million tonnes, starting in April. … According to the latest data from the Fertilizer Institute, potash inventories at North American producers are 42% higher than the previous five-year average.”

“Palm Inc. (PALM) shares climbed 1.90% to trade at $8.04 this morning. Palm is a provider of mobile products. The wireless device maker recently reported a net loss of $98 million, or 89 cents a share, compared to losses of $57 million, or 53 cents a share, for the same period last year. In addition, its revenue fell 71% to $90.6 million. … Despite downbeat results, the company's shares soared in anticipation of the launch of its highly anticipated Pre smartphone later this year.”
