“Amphenol Corp. (APH) shares fell 2.92% to trade at $30.57 this morning. Amphenol is a designer, manufacturer and marketer of electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, interconnect systems and coaxial and flat-ribbon cable. Amphenol recently announced its first-quarter profit fell 22% amid a challenging market environment. … For the three months ended March 31, the company posted net income of $77.1 million, or 43 cents per share, compared with $99.1 million, or 54 cents per share, during the year-earlier period. Sales dropped 14% to $660 million from $770.7 million a year earlier.”
