In the company’s news today,
Omnicity Corp. announced that it has signed an important agreement with Swayzee Telephone, Inc. that will expand and enhance its Midwestern fixed wireless network. As terms of the agreement, Omnicity will attach to the fiber optic network in Swayzee, Indiana to deliver services to Miami, Cass, Howard, Huntington, Grant, Blackford and Jay counties in northeastern Indiana.
Dick Beltzhoover, CEO of Omnicity, commented, “We continue rapidly forward with the execution of our business model by partnering with rural telephone companies across rural America such as Swayzee. Our agreement with Swayzee Telephone allows us to further fulfill our mission to provide Broadband services in some of the more challenging unserved and underserved areas of rural America.”
According to the press release, the company plans to continue partnering with rural telephone companies to deliver Broadband Internet services to their customers. The partnership with Swayzee Telephone allows Omnicity to increase network coverage in a region that covers its existing partnerships with United REMC and Jay County Economic Development Corporation. President of Swayzee Telephone, Tim Miles, stated, “Omnicity has vast experience in deploying, managing and maintaining wireless networks. Swayzee Telephone will focus on delivering services in Grant County with Omnicity, adding to their services in Miami, Cass, Howard, Huntington, Blackford and Jay counties.”
Greg Jarman, COO of Omnicity added, “We see this as an excellent opportunity for Omnicity to increase network coverage, speeds and services to customers throughout the region. The partnership with Swayzee Telephone continues our strategy of leveraging our network with rural telephone companies while servicing the customers of our REMC partners.
