WOODSIDE PETE LTD SP (Other OTC: WOPEY.PK)

Recent reports from the UBS global oil & gas conference in Texas, have quoted Apache Corporation as stating that it “now expects to sell gas from its Julimar prospect exclusively to Woodside’s Pluto Phase II LNG facility”. Woodside advises that it has signed a non-binding letter with Apache Northwest Pty Ltd and Kufpec Australia Pty Ltd setting out key principles to facilitate negotiation on a non-exclusive basis of definitive agreements for the sale of gas from the Apache-operated Julimar and Brunello fields (in permit WA-356-P) through a Woodside-operated Pluto LNG Train 2 at Karratha. As previously advised, Woodside continues to discuss Pluto Train 2 options with a number of parties in the Carnarvon Basin area.

COSCO CP LTD SP ADR (Other OTC: CSCMY.PK)

SembCorp Marine Ltd, a majority-owned unit of SembCorp Industries Ltd, planned to raise its stake to 8.17% from 3.17% by acquiring a further 5% stake or 110.4 mil ordinary shares in COSCO Corp (Singapore) Ltd, a shipping and holding company and a 55.08%-owned unit of COSCO Holdings (Singapore) Pte Ltd, from Seletar Investments Pte Ltd, a wholly- owned unit of Singapore state- owned Temasek Holdings (Pte) Ltd, for 1.09 mil Singapore dollars ($0.689 US) per share or a total value of S$120.336 mil ($76.042 mil), in a privately negotiated transaction. The transaction was subject to shareholders approval.

LUKOIL CO SPONS ADR (Other OTC: LUKOY.PK)

Some analysts are turning bullish on Russian stocks as oil prices rise and financial issues appear to subside. According to Reuters, Bank of America's Michael Hartnett thinks Russia's oil prices were holding Russian companies down. The analyst is telling clients that there is a "huge upside" if oil crosses the $60 mark. Crude is near Hartnett's magic number, currently trading above $58 a barrel.
