SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Rambus Inc. has withdrawn allegations related to four patent infringement complaints against Nvidia Corp. before the U.S. International Trade Commission, the two companies said Monday.

Shares of Nvidia (NVDA 11.36, +0.59, +5.48%) fell a fraction to $10.77, while Rambus (RMBS 15.00, +0.41, +2.81%) was flat at $14.59.

Rambus said it filed motions related to the four patents, leaving five other patents and 25 patent claims remaining, a company spokeswoman said.

In a release, Nvidia said Rambus has conceded that Nvidia isn't infringing on its four patents.

But Rambus rejected that view, saying: "Just because the patents are withdrawn, does not mean we concede anything. ... We've simply removed these patents from the proceedings."
