CLOROX (TICKER: CLX), which makes bleach, Glad trash bags and other household products, has helped keep investors in the black, with the stock outperforming the Standard & Poor's 500 for the past one, two and five years.

By all appearances, investors should expect the good times to continue.

This morning, the company, during a confab with analysts in New York, boosted its dividend by 9%, for a total payout this year of $2. That translates into a generous 3.7% dividend yield on the stock and marks the 32nd year in a row that Clorox has raised its annual payout.

Clorox also repeated a forecast it gave back on May 1 when it announced its third-quarter earnings, expecting fiscal year 2010 earnings, ending in June, to total $4 to $4.15, which is slightly below the consensus $4.16 Wall Street had been forecasting.

Clorox said it still expects to increase sales 1% to 2% this year, and to raise its gross profit as a percentage of sales by between half a point and one point.

In fact, the meeting reinforced a bunch of themes that gave us confidence in the stock when we wrote about it early last month.
