FITT Highway Products, Inc. (OTC: FHWY) announced today 10/12/11, F.I.T.T. Energy Products Inc. (“FITT”), a non-affiliated operating partner, has entered into negotiations with a leading marketing company to introduce the 2 ounce energy shot, “F.I.T.T. Energy With Resveratrol,” to major distributors for a retail marketing launch.

 

FITT is working on an exclusive marketing agreement with the marketing company which, for the last 20 years has been doing business with all of the major distributors in the retail marketplace. Under a joint marketing effort, FITT will produce additional flavors for the energy shot, design a wire rack for counter display, provide retail signage, and redesign its energy shot label and box to incorporate the latest results from the recently completed medical study on the product’s impact on resting blood pressure. FITT will be looking to start the retail launch by the beginning of 2012. The updated marketing materials will focus on obtaining retail consumer awareness at the checkout counter point of sale.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE: WMT) announced yesterday 10/11/11, that they have agreed to stop operations at 13 stores in southwest China, following the allegations of mislabeling ordinary pork as organic. The municipal government of Chongqing in southwestern China has accused Wal-Mart of selling substandard food and thus fined the company with $420,000 and ordered to close 13 Wal-Mart stores for 15 days. In addition, many of its store managers were detained in Chongqing. According to many analysts, large retailers in China have been penalized before, for mislabeling food products, particularly for selling expired items. Since 2006, Wal-Mart has been fined 21 times in Chongqing for deceptive advertising or for selling expired food. Also in January, Wal-Mart and Carrefour were fined for charging extra on promotional items.

Gentiva Health Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: GTIV) - Levi & Korsinsky announced yesterday 10/11/11, that a class action lawsuit has been commenced in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York on behalf of purchasers of Gentiva Health Services, Inc.
