NVIDIA Corporation,NVDA
Calls have recently been gaining popularity over puts on NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA), according to data from the International Securities Exchange (ISE). NVDA has garnered a five-day ISE call/put volume ratio of 3.68, as traders have bought to open nearly four times more bullish bets than bearish during the past week. As further evidence, NVDA's 10-day ISE call/put volume ratio arrives at 2.10, which ranks in the 51st percentile of its annual range -- revealing an ever-so-slight skew toward optimistically oriented options. In the front-month series, peak call open interest of 57,065 contracts can be found at the 12 strike. This heavy accumulation of overhead calls virtually dwarfs the open interest at other strikes in the July series; the second most popular option is the 10 call, with 12,898 contracts in residence. However, today's action suggests that the trend toward bullish bets might have been extremely short-lived. NVDA's July 11 put has seen 24,101 contracts cross the tape on open interest of 7,896, suggesting that a healthy portion of today's volume consists of newly opened positions.
